It's for people in Downtown, Summerlin, Centennial Hills, Paradise, Spring Valley, Enterprise, Sunrise Manor, Whitney and Summerlin South. Clark County runs those last six towns, so city-only programs don't reach them. The state's Aging and Disability Services Division (ADSD) and Clark County Social Service help older adults stay at home. If a fall at home has you thinking about grab bars, start with the table below. In northern Nevada, see Reno.

NV Energy, at (702) 402-5555, can send a copy of any shut-off notice to someone you pick.

Most homes here get water from the Las Vegas Valley Water District. If you can't pay, call (702) 870-4194 before your shut-off date, the district says. City homeowners with low income and a leak can ask the city's Drip Repair and Intervention Program at (702) 229-7444. See utility bill help.

What a Pair Team advocate does

In Las Vegas, a Medicare question often comes with a DSS letter or a home that's getting harder to get around. Your advocate makes the calls with you and follows up.

  • Help you apply for Medicaid or the Medicare Savings Programs on Access Nevada.
  • Help you apply for the city's home modification program if you're 62 or older.
  • Help with the Energy Assistance form, and with Project REACH.
  • Help you join an active adult center or find a Three Square senior lunch.

An advocate is covered by Medicare if you qualify. It takes two minutes to find out.

Will Nevada move my Medicaid into a health plan?
