What a Pair Team advocate does
On Staten Island, a call to us often starts with an HRA letter and a question about how to get to Bay Street. Here's what we do:
- Apply for Medicaid and the Medicare Savings Program with you on Access HRA.
- Book CASC car rides or Medicaid rides, or help you apply for Access-A-Ride.
- Get your HEAP form in when it opens, and check that the Con Edison or National Grid credit shows up.
- Connect you to CASC for case management and Meals on Wheels of Staten Island.
An advocate is covered by Medicare if you qualify. It takes two minutes to find out.
