What a Pair Team advocate does

In White Plains, a call to us often starts with a DSS letter and a parent who has stopped eating well. Here's what we do:

  • Apply for Medicaid with you at 85 Court Street, and call 914-995-3333 until DSS answers.
  • Register you at the Community Center and book its lunch and van, or set up Meals-on-Wheels.
  • Get your HEAP form in when it opens, then check that the Con Edison credit shows up.
  • Call the senior buildings about their waiting lists, and help you file the tax exemption before December 1.
