What a Pair Team advocate does

In Yonkers, a call to us often starts with a DSS letter and a question about how to get to Warburton Avenue. Here's what we do:

  • Apply for Medicaid with you at the Yonkers office, and call 914-995-3333 until DSS answers.
  • Book the Office for the Aging van, Bee-Line ParaTransit or Medicaid rides.
  • Get your HEAP form in when it opens, then check that the Con Edison credit shows up.
  • Watch for the MHACY senior list to open, and get you to a Medicare counselor at the library.

An advocate is covered by Medicare if you qualify. It takes two minutes to find out.
