For a one-time bill credit, apply for HEAP at (916) 567-5200. Elk Grove Food Bank Services can also pay a utility bill once every 12 months for Elk Grove residents facing a sudden hardship, such as a medical emergency. See energy bill help in California.

What a Pair Team advocate does

In Elk Grove, a Medicare call often turns into a DHA renewal with no office nearby, or a ride a parent can no longer drive.

  • Apply through DHA with you by phone, then follow up until there's an answer.
  • Get you a Senior Transit Pass, or help you apply for e-van.
  • Apply for SMUD's discount, then use it to get the county water credit.
  • Set up a HICAP visit at the Senior Center of Elk Grove.

An advocate is covered by Medicare if you qualify. It takes two minutes to find out.
